I am a largely self-taught coder. I am passionate about problem solving, especially in a programming context. I also enjoy creating tools and systems to do any kind of thing that can be done. While my design process can be scattered at times, I strive to keep my workspaces and organized so I can deliver the highest quality work possible.
I discovered programming in early 2016, and began taking C++ courses at Tidewater Community College. I loved everything about programming, from the code itself to the data structures, to the problem-solving and design aspects. During 2018, I tinkered with various languages such as Python and Lua, and became interested in game development. In 2019, I started working with Javascript for Google Sheets in the Customer Loyalty department, and created several major tools that are still being used today. Over the course of 2020, I have continued with Google Sheets and Javascript, creating many functions and scripts to complement my work as an Operations Support Specialist.
Ever since I got started with programming, my career goals have been to code all the time in a developer role. I have learned much over the past few years, but mostly that there will always be much more to learn. I love the learning process as much as the creative problem-solving process, and I always look forward to each new step that I take.
